Sybll Romley Named as Finalist in 2007 American Business AwardsSM

Denver, Colo.— May 15, 2007 — Sybll Romley, President & CEO of Spectrum Human Resource Systems Corporation, was named a finalist in the Best Executive category of The 2007 American Business Awards (also know as the Stevie Awards).

Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars“ (New York Post , April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all–encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.

More than 2,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. Sybll Romley will be competing in the Best Executive category.

Chosen to head Colorado–based Spectrum in 2006, Romley has grown the company into one of the top–five software developers in the Denver area. For more than twenty years, Romley has played an integral role in the vision of how best–of–breed HR software can offer businesses better efficiency. She is also an active voice in the industry, contributing new ideas, writings, and service—as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Human Resource Information Management, Inc.(IHRIM).

“Congratulations to Sybll on this well deserved award,” stated Jim Spoor, Spectrum founder and Chairman of the Board. “Her hard work and expertise have led Spectrum to be the successful company it is today.”

Nicknamed the Stevie for the Greek word “crowned,” the elegant Stevie trophy was designed by the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy.

“Being named a finalist in The American Business Awards is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition.”

“I’m flattered to be a finalist for this award,” says Sybll Romley. “Without the solid team of employees behind me, this wouldn’t be possible.”

Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Details about The American Business Awards and the list of finalists in all categories are available at www.stevieawards.com/aba.
