Spectrum Jumps to #5 on Denver Area Software Developers List

Denver, Colorado—March 9, 2007—Not only is Spectrum Human Resource Systems Corporation a viable player in the national HR software market, but it also poised in the fifth position (up from #7) on The Denver Business Journal’s Denver–Area Software Developers list this week (March 9–15, 2007 issue).

Sybll Romley, President and CEO of Spectrum, reflects, “We have had an incredibly exciting year at Spectrum. As the role of the HR professional is evolving, there is a growing need for software and systems to be extremely functional, in order to help business leaders achieve workforce excellence. We provide an integrated HR solution that gives HR executives, managers and administrators the tools to increase their administrative efficiency and effectiveness. In turn, that enables them to focus on their people and aligning HR goals with corporate strategy.”

Spectrum’s success and continued growth can also be attributed to strategic partnerships and certifications. Spectrum has been a Microsoft® Partner since the early 1990s. In 1999, SPECTRUM was the first to officially release a web–native HR product. That product, iVantage®, was the first HRIS to be third–party security tested and certified in 2006. SPECTRUM’s high standards for technological excellence, coupled with its vast HR expertise and knowledge have supported our growth through the years.

Spectrum is well known as a great place to work, in addition to being in the top ten on the Denver Area Software Developers List for four years. Spectrum’s internal enthusiasm and energetic attitude is enhanced with a generous benefit plan and an employee and family friendly environment.

“The American workforce is changing at break’neck speed; there is a new generation of professionals entering the workforce. That generation needs to be molded and developed into tomorrow’s leaders, and at Spectrum we are committed to doing that.” Romley said.

A secret to maintaining 50% of its workforce for more than 5 years is Spectrum’s dedication to developing and promoting internal talent. About 75% of the company’s leadership has been with the organization for over 10 years—many started their career at Spectrum. Spectrum is also proud to employ many HR Professionals in our Client Services, Development and Support areas.

Spectrum’s HR expertise is proven and respected in the human resources industry. Our executive team frequently speaks at national industry conferences and events. Sybll Romely sits on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM). As a past IHRIM board member and Spectrum’s Chairman, Jim Spoor, is the 2006 recipient of the Summit Award from IHRIM. The award recognizes a member who has made significant, long–term contributions to the advancement of the association’s mission.

Spectrum was founded in Denver by Jim Spoor in 1984. The organization has always provided best–of–breed HR software.

Managing Millennials The Baby Boomer Retirement Boom Are you Prepared for the New FMLA Changes?
“RU free 2 meet Fri? B/C if UR not, Mon is OK w/me.” Most people in the workplace today probably wouldn’t send an e–mail spelled that way. However, for a good portion of the younger people just starting their careers, it might be perfectly normal. It’s how they’ve grown up doing it.
